27.5″ Cross Country MTB

I owe this bike a great deal. Not only did it help building my confidence on Tig welding but it also gave me a part in the excellent Singletrack magazine. You can find the article on my blog following this link.

The idea with this build was to create a mountain bike that would be as versatile as possible: fast uphill and fun going down the trail!

Wheelset: Mavic Crossride 650B

Tyres: Schwalbe Racing Ralph Perf Dual Compound 27.5×2.25

Brakes: Shimano XT M785 160mm rotors

Seatpost: Dropper post Thomson Elite external 125mm travel

Saddle: Fizik Aliante with carbon rails

Groupset: Shimano XT M8000 double chainset 38/28 up front and Shimano XTR M9000 11-42 rear mech
