Colin’s 12mm trhough axle forks
Colin’s bike had a classic steel road fork for rim brakes and unfortunately the front wheel needed to be changed due to the wear generated by the brake pads. So it was an opportunity to switch to disc brakes. Colin also took advantage of the mod to opt for a through axle of 12x100mm.
The closest color to Colin’s frame is Capri blue with a sparkling clear coat for a metallic effect.
Front dropouts from Bear Frame Supplies are Tig welded for extra strength because there was not enough room for fillet brazing.
Fork: Reynolds 853 pfor the blades, Reynolds 631 for the steerer
Construction: brazed fork crown and Tig with stainless steel rod for brake mount and dropouts
