Serge’s touring bike
It was during the 2018 Concours de Machines in Bruniquel, France that I met Serge for the first time.
Serge was looking for a bike that would allow him both to take part in the outings of his cycling club and to go on bike touring trips. It is the latter characteristic that dictated the bike fit and the more refined position that favors comfort for long distances. The fillet brazed construction of the frame as well as the sloping of the upper tube gives a modern look while maintaining proportions of elegant tubes.
The fork is also bespoked, made with Reynolds 853 steel tubing, the construction technique is achieved by the use of a fork crown, lug type.
The water-blue color of the powder coating paint has been covered with a metallized clear coat also powder coated. The contrast with the black equipment, the leather saddle and grips is superb!

“This bike perfectly meets my expectations:
- Position and comfort for long trips
- Maibandability, ride quality and nervousness also allow me to ride with the colleagues of the club.
- Very good advice for the choice of equipment, while listening to the wishes from the client
- Esthetic very successful, very good quality welds and finishes.
- And all this at a very reasonable price for custom.
Bravo and thank you Gael Baudou.
